Staple Gun 2020 book
This bound A5 paperback book collects the first four issues of Staple Gun, a zine about ramp roller skating created by Julie Day and Jess Holland. The issues were originally published between February and November 2020 and span topics including:
- how to build ramps, make video edits, deal with injuries, build community, conquer fears
- interviews with trailblazing skaters in Aotearoa/New Zealand, NYC, Italy, Glasgow, Leeds, Cardiff, France, Australia, Belgium and London
- opinions shared about inclusion, widening access, and dealing with the difficult aspects of roller skating's history
- artwork, comics and specially commissioned photo shoots
…and lots more.
As well as bundling together these issues as originally printed, there are also new introductory essays by Irene Dose (Doom Skates), Kathleen Macias (SkateWytch) and the editors.
